Giving back and being of service is vital - not only for the benefit of others, but also to feel fulfilled on a personal level.

As part of Motherheart’s giving back initiative, Joanne provides free therapeutic support for women involved with the charity Advance Minerva. This charity offers wrap-around support for women who have been through the criminal justice system or have experienced domestic violence. The focus of this work often requires support for those who are experiencing mental and physical health challenges, alcohol and drug dependency, sexual exploitation, prostitution, financial debt and family problems.
